MANDY GORE-BOOTH
FOUNDER
With a career spanning over 22 years in the PR industry, Mandy has been immersed in the travel, spa, wellness, real estate and lifestyle sectors working across a variety of accounts ranging from award-winning destination spas in Europe and independent retreats in the Mediterranean, to high-luxury real estate developments in Ibiza, back-packer youth hostels across Europe, tourism boards in the UK and US and international hotel brands with a global portfolio.
Mandy set up Pilot PR in 2011 with the aim of providing senior hands-on consultancy and communications expertise that delivers outstanding results and generate a positive impact for clients.
Born and raised in Jamaica, Mandy has lived in Canada, the US, Guatemala and Trinidad before settling in the UK. With a passion for her island home as well as for adventure, Mandy is as likely to be found hiking up a mountain as lying in a hammock on the beach.
EMILY HEWETT
DESIGNER & BRAND STRATEGIST
A stellar graphic designer and brand consultant with over two decades in design and marketing, Emily has worked across a diverse range of clients from household names to local charities and everything in between.
Having teamed up with Pilot PR in 2013, Emily has become an integral part of the business providing her expertise in design, marketing and web development. Emily brings creative flair and new ideas to client projects including rebranding campaigns, creating new or improving existing websites and designing anything from printed marketing materials and logos to vehicle wraps, social media templates and PDF maps.
On top of her design credentials, Emily is a bit of a foodie. You can often find her cooking up a new dish in the kitchen or concocting a new gin cocktail for friends and family before making their way to her food and drink blog. She enjoys regular yoga sessions and loves to travel and see new places.
LAURA MCCONNON
ACCOUNT MANAGER
Pilot PR’s Account Manager, Laura joined the team in 2022. She brings a wealth of knowledge of the travel, real estate and luxury goods sector having worked across a number of clients campaigns in the UAE.
Originally from the UK, Laura lived in Dubai for over a decade giving her first-hand experience of some of the world’s most sought-after luxury brands. Laura moved back to the UK 5 years ago and now lives in Surrey.
When she’s not looking after her two children, she can be found jetting off around the globe – having visited several countries in 2022 alone, it’s safe to say Laura’s feet never touch the ground!
JAZ NEILSON
DIGITAL ASSISTANT
Pilot PR’s jazzy Digital Assistant, Jaz, is originally from New Zealand, was raised in Hong Kong and then educated in the UK where she completed her Media and Communications with Psychology degree. Discovering her passion for PR and Communications, Jaz joined Pilot PR in 2020 and now leads on content strategies for our clients including social media calendars, blog posts and digital audits as required.
When she’s not busy writing blogs or planning her next travel destination, Jaz is most likely to be found going for long walks or baking sweet treats in the kitchen.
