Award-winning family-friendly 'Nature Spa’ resort, Hotel Quelle in South Tyrol is unveiling a new Wellness Garden as part of its 70th Anniversary celebrations when it re-opens on 11 June 2020. The Wellness Garden comes on top of a raft of new adventure-packed Active Weeks and special events taking place throughout summer and autumn.
The new Wellness Garden concept sees Hotel Quelle’s 5,000m² gardens transformed into an exclusive outdoor SPA. Hotel Quelle derives its name from the German word for ‘Source’ and the Wellness Garden includes a host of new attractions themed around water. In addition to the Biological Bathing Pond and outdoor Kneipp and barefoot walking path, there is new outdoor sauna, and an illuminated waterfall in the mountain stream to create new quiet oases for further relaxation.
In keeping with the Hotel Quelle ethos, guests are encouraged to immerse themselves in the beautiful natural surroundings, to inhale the clean air and scent of fresh herbs, to take in the mountain views, to explore locally and be one with nature.
Active Weeks
In a nod to this philosophy, Hotel Quelle also launches a series of Active Weeks dedicated to on-mountain activities; these range from easy hikes and bike rides to challenging alpine-runs - all included in the price of a stay - and are designed to showcase Hotel Quelle’s fantastic mountain location, their expert guides, their recuperative spa & sauna facilities and their outstanding cuisine. Fishing
Hotel Quelle is also offering fishing for the first time to its guests. This fun and meditative activity is the perfect antidote to the hectic nature of modern life. Hotel Quelle owns the fishing rights for the entire Gsies Valley where anglers will find ideal conditions for catching local trout in managed rivers, clear mountain streams or at small fishing lakes nearby.
Special Anniversary Programme
Hotel Quelle is celebrating 70 years of hospitality. Owned and operated by the Steinmair Family since 1950, Hotel Quelle's has a special Anniversary Programme for guests during dedicated weeks in September & October. Highlights of these weeks include free night stays, room upgrades, gala dinners and local wine pairings as well as the screening of “The Quelle Story” – a film on the history of the hotel and the three generations that have run it to be shown in Hotel Quelle’s own private cinema.
