Introducing Cytoplan: The UK’s Leading Food-Based Supplement Provider
Pilot PR is delighted to be working with Cytoplan, the UK's leading food-based supplement company, to support their in-house PR and marketing team.
As Cytoplan celebrates its 25th Anniversary, they will be launching a new range of children’s health products, a new website, and new packaging. The Company is also expanding their team of in-house nutritionists under the expertise of Amanda Williams, Managing and Technical Director, to serve the growing demand and requirements of their direct consumer base.
Since 1990, Cytoplan have been supplying innovative and science-based supplements for health practitioners. In this time they have become somewhat of a ‘best kept secret’.
Driven by the presence of ‘Hidden Hunger’ (otherwise known as ‘The Nutrition Gap’), Cytoplan have developed a unique range of highly bio-effective Food State™ and Wholefood vitamins and minerals. By ‘bio-effective’ we mean providing nutrients in supplements that are in the same form as those nutrients occurring in food.
"We consider that the supplements most appropriate and safe for human ingestion are those in which the nutrients are presented in the same form as those in food."
Nutrients in these forms follow ‘food metabolic pathways’ and are optimally absorbed and utilised by the body. Such nutrients differ from the ‘isolate’ chemical vitamins and minerals that are provided in the vast majority of supplements sold.
Cytoplan multi-formulations provide all the nutrients identified by research as being in short supply in an average diet, at optimum levels in terms of health-promoting effects.
Cytoplan's Wholefood nutrients could be viewed as being the most natural supplements available, as these are derived from hydroponically grown, edible plants – brassica – a member of the broccoli family. This plant has a great capacity to bio-accumulate high levels of minerals to enable good levels to be achieved in small doses of supplementation. All the wholefood products use food metabolic pathways, are suitable for vegans and are in capsules. Cytoplan's Food State™ nutrients are combined in a variety of appropriate food bases to ensure they come complete with the phytonutrients and associated food co-factors that are necessary for optimal absorption and use in the body. They are in tablet form and have recently achieved ‘Raw Food’ and ‘Vegan’ status.
Wholly owned by a charitable foundation and not constrained by the commercial pressures for profit, Cytoplan's overall goal as a company is ‘improving the health of the nation’.
Cytoplan prides itself on its quality, integrity, innovation and excellent service. The company works closely with doctors and scientists in the development of all its products, and also offers a supportive programme to its 6000 health practitioners, medical doctors, dentist and students, helping them with nurturing their education, business and clients.
